Hunter Smith

Hunter started working at Stoney Creek Ranch in August 2015 as a member of the weekend retreat staff, helping scrub dishes and build campfires. He fell in love with the ropes course and the beauty of the ranch during this time and was thrilled to work during the Stoney Creek Urban Initiative as the Ropes Director. Hunter is honored to serve as the Camp and Retreats Director at SCR to give back to the ministry he loves so much. He holds two degrees from Texas A&M University (Gig’ Em): a Bachelors in Political Science/Sociology and a Masters in International Affairs from the Bush School of Government and Public Service. Working at the Summer Urban Initiative helped Hunter realize his passion for service and for camping ministry. Hunter thinks it is the biggest blessing to witness the eternal impact of SCR’s ministry every day. Originally from Houston, Hunter now lives in Katy with his wife, Kimberly, their daughter, Parker, and their dogs.
