Summer Staff

We employ a staff of 100+ college-aged students from all backgrounds who are eager to share the Gospel with our campers. Our week-long Staff Training ensures that each staff member is equipped and prepared to teach, mentor, and encourage our campers during their time at Stoney Creek Ranch.

Fast Facts:

  • Our starting pay is $200 per session for first year staff with additional bonus pay incentives.
  • We also pay additional $100 for Staff Training.
  • All meals and lodging are covered for staff members during the camp sessions.


Counselors - Stoney Creek Ranch


The position of counselor is a vital part of camp. Counselors have the unique opportunity to work directly with campers throughout the entirety of their stay at Stoney Creek Ranch, having fun with them and ministering to them in all ways possible.

Ropes Course Instructors - Stoney Creek Ranch

Ropes Course Instructors

The Ropes course instructors facilitate the use of the high ropes course, zip lines and climbing wall. They are responsible for the safety of all persons participating in these activities as well as the daily maintenance of the elements and equipment. Training is required for these positions. Ropes Course instructors will also hold other responsibilities at camp such as Co-counselor, Work Crew, etc.

Musicians & Program Team Members - Stoney Creek Ranch

Musicians & Program Team Members

If you are skilled vocally, musically or have the creative talent for entertainment, Stoney Creek Ranch can use you this summer! We hire a variety of positions for our program team including those who play drums, percussion, bass, guitar (acoustic and electric), keyboard, and vocalists. These positions are typically combined with other responsibilities as assigned by the Camp Director.

Lifeguards - Stoney Creek Ranch


Lifeguards are responsible for opening day swim tests, daily activity classes, and other activities relating to the program as designated by the Camp Director. Stoney Creek Ranch’s water venues include pool, blobs, water zip lines, kayaks and several water toys. Current nationally recognized lifeguard certification is required. Stoney Creek Ranch will work with you to get re-certified if your certification has expired. Lifeguards duties will be in conjunction with other roles at camp such as Co-counselor, Work Crew, etc.

Kitchen Staff - Stoney Creek Ranch

Kitchen Staff

Kitchen staff assist our resident staff and should have some experience in food preparation and a desire to serve. Additional training is required for food service. Responsibilities include food preparation, washing dishes, setting and clearing tables, and assisting the overall program through socializing with campers and theme night participation.

Photographers - Stoney Creek Ranch


Photographers must have the ability to capture exciting and relevant pictures for use on our website and social media posts and for camper keepsakes. Cameras will be provided by Stoney Creek Ranch. Photographers will be assigned other program responsibilities by the Camp Director.

Nurses - Stoney Creek Ranch


This position requires the following degree: LVN, RN, PA or MD. Responsibilities include providing quality health care to campers and staff, administering medications and assisting in transportation of sick/injured individuals to medical facilities. The Health Center staff should have the love and patience required to work with kids and counselors.

Office Support Staff - Stoney Creek Ranch

Office Support Staff

Office staff play an integral role in getting campers to camp! From receiving and getting missing information on arriving campers and groups to making spreadsheets, running the Ranch Store, completing paperwork projects for the Camp Director and joyfully answering the camp phone, a positive attitude demonstrates our mission of sharing Christ with urban youth.
